Originally built in 1905 with hand hewn logs from the Cypress Hills, this historic barn, once used to stable horses, cattle, chickens, turkeys and sheep, has now been carefully restored to preserve its' original log walls, structure and rustic atmosphere.  To honor and help keep our local Cypress Hills ranching history alive, we have named and decorated all of our Barn bedrooms with local pioneer ranch family history.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the log barn.  You have done a great job with it.  Our Leslie was excited to be able to sleep in the Leslie Ranch room.  It was an enjoyable history lesson to check out the different rooms. We have some great family memories of kids chasing grandpa with the lasso and vice versa, ping pong and fooseball games, hikes and horses.  It was a great weekend.  We will certainly recommend Reesor Ranch to friends.  Thank you again.  Cheryl, Mortlach, Sask. - 50th Wedding Anniversary

I really don't know where to begin to describe how much our entire family enjoyed the log barn. There are so many treasures in there!!  My Dad was thrilled to be able to tell us what some of the artifacts were, but there were a few that eluded him!! (One we found out later from Theresa was a berry picker!)  The rooms were all so cute, not over done at all.  The kitchen was more than we expected, what a great work and serving area.  The games room is really good!  We are a family of campers and having power and fridges was really a treat for all of us!!  We will definitely be back and next time the kids will be a bit older so hopefully we can enjoy the horses as well next visit.  The boys really enjoyed the calf roping lesson!!  The ranch is a true treasure.  Thank you.  Terry

Letter from Doreen & Eric  - click here to read:  A Very Special Weekend

Just wanted to write you a note to let you know that our family LOVED our stay in the Old Log Barn!  It is such a neat place!  Even my husbandís 88 year old Mother enjoyed herself.  The facilities were wonderful & it was  so much fun to spend time there as a family.  We talked about how we would love to make it an annual event, so you may see us again!  We vacuumed and tidied up so I hope we left it to your satisfaction.  I do have to confess that I found a spoon in my coffee can when I got home so will bring it back when we come next time if you are in agreement.  Sorry about that!  The little kids loved the barn, tobogganing and even the bawling cows!! Again, thank you for a great stay!  Shandra and Dayle & family

I was one of the members there this past weekend for the family reunion.  I wanted to thank you for a fantastic weekend.  Your facility is absolutely beautiful and everywhere you go, one can notice all of the work and thought that went into the planning and building of it.  I would assume that the place is one of a kind!  One of my cousins, who was staying up at the main house, took me up there to take a look around at the main living areas.  We, or course, stayed out of the rooms marked "private" but I enjoyed taking in all of the history that's been preserved.
I stayed in one of the barn bedrooms at the top of the main hall over top of the games room.  It was comfortable and the attention to detail is amazing.  My room was the corner one at the top of the stairs.  I believe it was called the Ramsay Room.  I hope you don't think I am complaining, but I thought I would let you know that there are two nails sticking up out of the floorboards on the side of the bed where the light is.  It's an old historic barn with wood plank flooring so that is to be expected.  A person should keep their shoes on just before they hop into bed but I thought I would pass along the information anyway.
Again, thank you for a very enjoyable weekend.  You put a large level of trust in a group of strangers who took over your home.  I hope that we left everything in proper order.  I took a look at your website.  The pictures are beautiful.  I think that the spirit of the place is hard to capture on film and it something that has to be seen and lived in order to fully appreciate the scenery and your level of hospitality.  You have thought of everything - down to all of the games and sporting equipment available.
See you in about two or three more years at our next family reunion :)  We already booked it.  I just can't remember if its 2015 or 2016 that they reserved it for.  Denise

There are many places people can go to forget the rush and business of city life.  This is one of the best.  It is so hard to find a place where people can sit, relax and visit with each other in a home environment.  I do believe, this weekend, we have all found another home.  Home is where the heart is and my heart, or at least a small part will remain here for a long time to come.  I am hoping to come back again and again.  Each time I will leave part of my heart behind and return home with new memories.  Tanya and Garth - Lethbridge, Ab
